Above shows interveiws to two people ,a female aged 18 and a male aged 15. There answers gave me an insight to what they would expect to see from a zombie film as well as what they would like to see.
The first question i asked 'What is your favourite genre of film?' was just to get a rough idea of what films they like, not to change my opinion of what genre of film to do, but more so i could maybe use conventions from these other genres in mine.
I then moved onto asking questions aimed closer to my project, 'When watching a horror film, what conventions do you expect to see?' I asked this to get an idea of the main conventions i need to include in my teaser trailer if i want to make it effective. The answers i recieved where along the lines of what i expected, with gore, thrills and tension the obvious themes.
I next asked 'For any zombie films you've seen what do you expect to see, and if you were to make one what you include?' I asked this as it was very specific to my project and could back up my ideas of what should be included in a zombie film, and maybe even give me new ideas. The answers i recieved where again along the lines of what i expected with talk of zombie apocalypses, gore and thrills.
Finally i asked 'What's your favourite type of horror film?' to get a good idea of what people like to see in horror films wether it be laugh out loud comedy, with a mixture of blood spilling murderers, or edge of your seat thrills with heart throbbing romance. This question was to give me a real good idea of what sort of genres could mix well and what conventions to use in my project.
