The actual film is a psychological horror film, and it shows this throughout the trailer. Because of the use of CCTV cameras there are no special camera shots used in the trailer,but these cameras give off an eerie presence with luminous blue glow and the cameras switching from room to room. Because of the shortness of the trailer not much of the narrative of the film is given away. It does however show a bit of the setting and shows one room which features a dog and a baby, however these dissapear later when a dark figure is shown in the doorway. The trailer uses text to put across anything that it wants to say as throughout its quite silent to add more effect to parts that are meant to shock the audience, one bit of text reads 'nothing can prepare you for what's next.' This will excite the audience of the trailer as viewers of the previous film will know this one is even scarier, and new viewers will think it's very scary and may even entice them into watching the previous film. This trailer is very effective, it doesnt show much but just enough get the audience interested and excited, and shows a couple of 'jumpy' moments which will give the audience a nice idea of what to expect.
